Edward Leida was trained as both an Industrial and Graphic Designer. During the course of his career, he has done
extensive work in the areas of Corporate Identity, Editorial Design, Book Design and Advertising.
He served as the Design Director of W Magazine and during his tenure, Leida redesigned W in 1991 as well as designed and established the formats for Jane Magazine, Details Magazine and Women's Wear Daily.
Edward Leida has also taught and done portfolio reviews for the Society of Publication designers, School of Visual Arts and The Columbia School of Journalism and has served as a panelist for the American Society of Magazine Editors, The PDN Lecture Series and the Magazine Association of Atlanta.
His design of W was nominated by the National Magazine Awards for Excellence in Design in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2005 and was nominated for Magazine of the Year in 2007 by the Society of Publication Designer’s.
He is also the recipient of numerous design awards from the American Institute of Graphic Arts and The Society of Publication Designers.
